After a season of injuries for the ever-ageing Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler continued to blossom into the superstar he is but would persistently be put off by the front office of the Bulls. The Bulls managed to break into the top 8 despite a tough ending regular season run. Matching up against the Celtics, the Bulls gained a 2-0 lead guided by former Celtic Rajon Rondo dictating each defensive set and offensive play. In a series of unfortunate events, Rondo suffered a season ending injury and turned the tables for the Celtics. Isaiah Thomas reminded the league of the big hearted player he is with his high scoring games throughout the series.
